Our Camps

Why LWBC?

Our ministry is based on the power of relationships with God and with people. At LWBC, we are camper-focused and Christ-centered, meaning everything we do is for the good of the campers and through the love of Christ. With between 40 and 60 campers here each week, no one will get lost in a sea of names and faces. Each cabin counselor has between five and nine campers per week, giving them the opportunity to spend plenty of one-on-one and small group time and getting to know campers personally to help them grow in their spiritual life and as an individual. We consider every one of our summer staff a counselor, whether or not they have a cabin, because we are all here to invest in our campers, share the gospel and love of Christ, and encourage their growth and development through our time spent with them.

Why camp at LWBC? Because God is at work here. There is something about coming to camp every year and meeting Him in a special way that testifies to His awesome presence here at Lake Waubesa Bible Camp. Summer after summer, God draws campers and staff to Him when they spend time here. While we have fun—and sometimes crazy—programs and activities, our main reason for doing what we do is to provide the opportunity for life change through Christ’s love. Our goal is to allow campers to build encouraging, healthy relationships with others, give them space to discover who God created them to be, and provide opportunities to listen to Him and recognize His presence. He shows up here… will you?
