Our morning chapel focused on the story of Gideon this summer. We felt like we were living the story of Gideon and his three hundred men when we realized how small our staff would be this year. The same principle seen in that story was true of our summer: God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Our size and all that was accomplished only points to how incredible our God is.
After taking a short break, all of us on the year-round staff team are already starting to serve retreat groups. It is always a blessing to be able to facilitate so many different groups. We love to see people take the opportunity to relax here, learn new things, and have new experiences. Camp provides an atmosphere that helps people to break their everyday routines and think deeply about life or just step away. We are enjoying this time to serve other groups and are looking forward to the programs that we will be running this fall and winter. Acknowledging the joys of the summer and the excitement for our future endeavors, we ask that you to join us in praising God and requesting His blessing on the things set before us.
